About

Jessai Schonewille
I'm a developer with a creative mindset. I love building things and seeing them come alive. Be it a game, a tool, a website or a hardware project. I often find myself dipping my toes in various areas. I enjoy nothing more than turning ideas into reality.
I value the ability to be honest. The ability to give and receive feedback. I value open-mindedness. Cause what may sound dumb initially might turn out brilliant later.
Automation is my favorite kind of laziness.

In this project, I contributed to the development of a Virtual Reality game for Aebi Schmidt Netherlands. The goal of this game is to train drivers and refresh their knowledge in preparation for the winter months. In collaboration with 038games, we developed a virtual simulation where drivers can practice operating machines like salt spreaders and snowplows in a playful way. By using an interactive environment, users are prepared for challenging situations they may encounter in the field.

lidar
For a Dutch police project, I worked on an experiment involving a Lidar sensor to explore its potential applications. In Unity, we visualized a point cloud from the Lidar sensor's data. We developed features like selectively adjusting the visualization, filtering out unwanted noise, and isolating specific movements. We could also record and detect motion, which provided valuable insights into how Lidar technology might be used in police operations.

administrative-systems
At Windesheim, I worked on an assignment focused on managing students throughout the semester. We developed a web application to automatically track which students needed to be informed about specific matters, based on imported Excel sheets. The goal was to reduce manual work and streamline the process, offering clear insight into which students had missed certain components, what changes had occurred, and who needed to be informed about what.
